He really moved me. mm so yeah, one of the best retreats.

best. retreat. ever.

Edward was flippin AMAZING and hi speaches were powerful.. really. first time i didnt doze off....well in one of them i did but thats cause i was tired and it was only for 10 minutes. and it was kool, because things he said hit me. like for Heaven.. for sum reason i HATED to think about it cause i was like, ok forever...kinda a long time. and i thought it would get boring casue i couldnt think of anything else i could do after everything that i WANTED to do.... uhh am i making any sence? well anyways.. but it sumhow didnt hit me that things i cant even THINK of or imangen will be there... i was like whoa how could i b so stupid?.. and one more thing..

the stuff about how we ask God for everythig, like to help us with homework, to help us feel better, and how we jus ask ask ask, and we jus dont tlk to him. i donno but it touched me sumhow.  ack this is getting pretty long. so ima sumerize everything else i wanna say.

what Edward said moved me. i feel closer to God now and want to serve him now in some way now more than ever. and now im REALLY happy to b going on the China trip cause ill be able to help, even if its in the littleest way, and im gona being my friends over to TG more often cause a lot of them need God in their lives. cause thatd be awsum. flippin awsum..

wow i think i wrote the most for any comment i ever wrote....o well. retreat was freakin awsum

retreat was awesome!

Pastor Ed helped me see God in a whole new perspective.. for a while I was confused about God being jealous.. in the 10 Commandments, he says not to covet your neighbor, but he also said he was a jealous god and he didn't want us to worship other gods/idols. And that kinda contradicts 0o But now I understand ^^ Pastor Ed said that Christianity was different from all the other religions because God is the only one that's chasing after us.. that's awesome. I was really moved by his message..

I wish it was longer.. we need more stuff like retreat

the retreat was great!! someone should get edward to come next year!!

because he taught me to see God in a different light, and the most part that struck me was to have God's grace... you have to let go of one thing... everything. and i did... and you know it makes you feel more free, and more pure of things, i'm glad i came to the retreat this year.

also, the funniest example i think he used was the puppy example and the apple example. "according to my scientific calculations... an apple should taste tart... and sweet... somthin between an orange... and a banana." I thought it was really funny and when he was immitating experiencing an apple it was cool too... =9 so i think that this retreat was the best this year... i can't wait for next year to come... =P

Yea what lucy said... i was confused on how God was jealous... but it was for US because we are going in the path of death. I was totally changed by Pastor Edwards message... and next time in sermons... i think that there should be more funny examples, because it helped me understand what he was trying to say better... yea...

yeah. i know we can't have retreat all the time. we need to learn how to grow by ourselves too

hmm. it was interesting how Pastor Ed said that we had to listen to God's burdens and put our head against his chest.. I've never thought about God that way. I guess I've always thought of him as high and mighty. Not so much of a loving Father as he is.. a Father that shouldn't be disobeyed? I mean, I always knew that God is love. But it hasn't sunk into me until after the retreat.. Pastor Ed helped me realize just how loving a father God is. Extravagant love =] Haha. I think I'm gonna read through the whole bible.. something I've told myself quite a few times, but has never happened xP This time, it's gonna happen. I think I'm more committed to God now =] And as Sisley said, my faith increased..

nice profile pic xD

RETREAT!!!

<>Oh my goodness! Retreat rocked this year didn’t it?   <>

We got to see and welcome many new faces..  John K, JC Pham, Marie Pham, Alex and Heather Koo…  not to mention other TG’rs who had their 1st retreat experiences!

<>Well like Edward Suh said, everything we learned this weekend comes in seed form.  It’s up to us to grow it and water it until it bears fruit.   Don’t forget the challenge to revisit the cross daily, and pray for yourselves, and for others.

it is going to be tougher now that we're back in our homes to our routines, but let's not return to the prison of apathy, of ignorance, of anger, bitterness, lust or greed... we don't belong there, don't let satan convince you that you belong there.
 <>

Post a testimonial on 1 or 2 things that you really enjoyed, learned, or experienced this retreat so that others can be blessed by what God is doing in YOUR life!
